There are some sexual references, In seasons 1-3 the sex references are moderate and are not too strong.

Season 4 has strong sex references

There is not a lot of nudity, although in most episodes strippers appear in bars and they reveal cleavage as they are pole dancing.

There is one episode where infared vision is seen and we see a woman with a red spot around her vagina then another man comes and says your all warmed up for me so he starts moving back and forth he then gets up and the man who had been watching him had got an erection from watching

One episode centers Earl helping a "homosexual find a male".

In one episode a homosexual male hobo wants to hug Earl, who he refers to as "cute". He takes Joy's girl shoes, as well. Played for laughs, but can be inappropriate.

Earl is a former womanist.

Throughout the seasons there is quite a deal of comical violence, which is played for laughs. None of the violence is strong and would most likely not offend audience over the age of the provided ratings for example "TV-PG".

96 uses of "son of a bitch" (used once in every episode)

Uses of damn, ass, hell. Bitch is used, usually insulting Joy. Uses of slut and whore are used as well.

There are some references to drugs, but they are mostly negitive points.

A duffel bag of pot is seen in a episode, but they don't smoke it.
