This is a gritty, semi-biographical film, mainly about Katie A.(played by Jordan Hinson) who's mother abandons her in an alley and runs off with a "John".
She ends up in Maclaren's Children's Center, where she has to fend off a female roommate's sexual advances, amongst other horrible experiences, and plan her escape with the help of her buddy Danny, and unlikely cohort, Alfred.
There is strong language, and violent scenes which may not be suitable for under-13's.
Kids suffer everyday, due to mistreatment, and unfit parents. A film like this should wake people up to reality.
