Whats in a name?
28 May 2006 | by (Australia) – See all my reviews

I have aways thought my name to be rather unique. I have rarely met any other Baral's in the world other than my own family, although I do understand the name is used by some in Northern India. On top of that, most Jonathan's I have met, heard of or know spell their name Jonathon.

So it came to my rather big surprise to find my name used as the lead character condemned to death in a French movie!!

I have checked with some friends of mine who originally came from France, who have also found it odd. They have never even heard of a Baral in France.

The name Baral used in Europe is due to Cossack sensors in Poland making a spelling mistake of the name Boral back in the mid 18th century.

i would love to know how the writers of this work came up with the name!!
