Interesting episode of "La Huella Del Crimen".
8 August 2015 | by (Spain) – See all my reviews

In July 1952, into a tobacco shop in Menendez Pelayo Street of Sevilla, they are found in a pool of blood the bodies of the two sisters own business. Surprisingly everything is in order, it seems, the murderers have not taken anything. Justice condemns three criminals with numerous precedents, which in 1956 were applied the "Garrote Vil".

Soon began the arrests. The first to fall was Juan Vazquez Perez. This offender confessed to participating in the events and said Lorenzo Perez Bueno and Pérez Gómez and his companions. In his version of events, Perez Gomez accused of being the perpetrator of the stabbings and was the first out of the tight.

The day proceeded to the arrest of Lorenzo Castro Bueno alias "El Tarta", which was to embark in Malaga to Melilla enlisted in "La Legion". Lorenzo Castro Bueno denied the facts with arrogance and cynicism, even causing Vazquez Perez of harmony with his statements.

A few days later he was arrested last of those involved, Antonio Perez Gomez. He also confessed his involvement in the assault, although carried most blame Castro Well saying that this had been the first out of the tobacco shop.

October 21, 1954, two years after the killings began the trial of three men. The trio of criminals recanted their confessions and murder weapons nor money nor labored appeared in any case. Also they disappeared five pages of summary, since defence attorneys during his repeated allegations there was no evidence sufficient to convict charge their clients. Despite all this the defendants were convicted and sentenced to death. Pena who was executed on April 4, 1956, after the resources or clemency arrived to fruition. The killings had great media coverage and coined the nickname "El Crimen De Las Estanqueras". The lawyer Manuel Rojo was responsible for defending criminals, who already were previously signed to minor offenses, but alibis and legal arguments were forgotten and the prisoners were executed to vile stick in prison frog. Later, this same lawyer published a book that subtly hinted irregularities in the trial and suggested a connection between crime and trafficking in hashish.

Tenth and interesting episode of the series "La Huella Del Crimen", but is more focused on the attempt pardon by the priest "Fray Antequera" (Fernando Guillen Cuervo) to explain the crime and the reactions of the population in Seville at time, whose streets out very nice in many scenes. To highlight the work of Ricardo Franco as director and actors Antonio Dechent and José Soriano, the soundtrack by Bernardo Bonezzi and a short appearance of Jesus Bonilla as executioner.
