Brad Pitt Was Apparently Considered To Play Cable In Deadpool 2

Deadpool 2 Leaked Concept Art Gallery 1 of 7

You know, it’s really starting to seem like there’s as much talk surrounding the casting of Cable for Deadpool 2 as there is about the Merc with a Mouth himself these days. But, I guess that’s to be expected for a beloved character that’s just now making his silver screen debut, one which is intended to serve as a launching point for X-Force, among other movies.

In recent memory, many big names have been mentioned in the same breath as the time traveler, including a hard lobbying Russell Crowe, David Harbour and the rumored frontrunner, Michael Shannon. To be quite honest, I fully expect there to be metatextual jokes aimed at Man of Steel if, in fact, Shannon does land the gig. Remember, Ryan Reynolds didn’t have any »

Hugh Jackman Was Given Film of His Penis for 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' Wrap Gift

22 March 2017 8:09 AM, PDT | The Hollywood Reporter - Movie News | See recent The Hollywood Reporter - Movie News news »

It seems X-Men Origins: Wolverine would have beat Logan to the trilogy's first R rating — had some pretty revealing shots of Hugh Jackman been left in the 2009 film.

Just like any other aspect of playing his iconic X-Men character, Jackman didn't hold back, going completely nude on set for the scene in which Wolverine escapes Weapon X after having Adamantium grafted onto his skeleton.

In a recently unearthed 2009 interview with Howard Stern, Jackman made it clear he has no problem with people seeing him naked.

"You're not afraid to show your penis on film, are you?" Stern asked Jackman, »

Wonder Woman rated PG-13 for “sequences of violence and action and some suggestive content”

22 March 2017 1:34 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Although it’s not exactly shocking news, following the release of the latest action packed trailer and some new promotional artwork on cans of Dr. Pepper, the MPAA has official certified Wonder Woman as PG-13 for “sequences of violence and action, and some suggestive content.” None of that brief description differs from the norm regarding most comic book films, but it’s nice getting official confirmation.

There is always the possibility that there is an eventual R-rated Blu-ray cut similar to what Warner Bros. did with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and possibly to capitalize on the rising popularity of adult-oriented superhero films such as Deadpool and recently Logan. Realistically however, that probably won’t happen as all reports point to Wonder Woman being a much more light-hearted affair than the previous Dceu movies so far.

Logan Crosses $500 Million at the Worldwide Box Office

20 March 2017 6:10 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

While Logan only had a brief one-time run atop the box office a few weeks ago, Hugh Jackman's final Wolverine movie is still going strong, passing another box office milestone over the weekend. While it dropped to third place with $17.8 million, that domestic take and its international tally were enough to push it over the $500 million worldwide box office plateau. The movie currently stands at $183.4 million domestic and $339.3 million from international markets, for a worldwide tally of $523.6 million, from a $97 million budget.

Box Office Mojo also has an interesting breakdown of the Wolverine franchise, comparing Logan to Hugh Jackman's other two stand-alone Wolverine movies, 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine and 2013's The Wolverine, neither of which achieved the kind of critical and commercial success that Logan has already achieved. After just three weeks in theaters, Logan has already surpassed the domestic, foreign and worldwide totals for both X-Men Origins: Wolverine and The Wolverine. »

Logan crosses the half billion dollar mark at the worldwide box office

19 March 2017 1:38 PM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

It may have found itself slipping down the charts these past couple of weeks thanks to Beauty and the Beast and Kong: Skull Island, but 20th Century Fox’s latest X-Men offering Logan continues to pull in the cash at the box office, having crossed the half billion dollar mark this weekend.

Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine swansong is now sitting on $524 million globally, having grossed $184 million domestically and a further $340 million from international markets.

Logan is now the highest-grossing Wolverine movie (with The Wolverine on $414.8 million and X-Men Origins: Wolverine on $373.1 million), and the fourth-highest grossing chapter of the entire X-Men franchise behind X-Men: Apocalypse on $543.9 million.

Deadpool remains the biggest earner in the franchise, having pulled in $783.1 million last year, while X-Men: Days of Future Past sits in second place with $747.9 million.

In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. »

'X-Men': Original Sabretooth on Hugh Jackman's Legacy and Why He Didn't Return to the Franchise

It appears Hugh Jackman has fought his final battle as Wolverine in the recently released Logan, and what a run he had of kicking butt.

Logan has earned more than $460 million worldwide so far, and to celebrate Jackman's retirement of the character, Heat Vision caught up with the first villain Wolverine did battle with, who just so happened to be the character's arch-nemeses, Sabretooth (Tyler Mane). Mane discuses fighting with Jackman's Wolverine, why he didn't reprise his role in 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine and the unique way he made an impression during his audition.

How did you land the part of Sabretooth in X-Men?

Marvel Teams Up With will.i.am For Masters Of The Sun – The Zombie Chronicles

17 March 2017 10:41 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

By now, many of you know that recording artist will.i.am of Black Eyed Peas fame is no stranger to Marvel, having already played John Wraith in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine. But now, he’s doing what few others are given the privilege of, and that’s making the leap from screen to page with the freshly announced original graphic novel, Masters of the Sun – The Zombie Chronicles.

Before you say anything, I fully admit that the zombie genre is nothing new, but the singer turned author aims to put a different spin on it by incorporating elements of La gang culture, “B-Boy-ism” and Egyptology. Being described as “the complete tale of a retro futuristic zombie thriller, mixed with action, suspense, and horror unlike anything seen before,” it’s certainly offering a lot of hype to live up to. As for interior artwork, that will be provided by Damion Scott (All-New Ghost Rider, »

10 extremely interesting facts you didn’t know about the X-Men franchise

16 March 2017 12:25 AM, PDT | The Hollywood News | See recent The Hollywood News news »

17 years after the original X-Men made its debut, and the franchise is still going strong. There may have been more than a few bumps in the road, but after the well-deserved success of Logan this past week, the series appears to be set for many years to come.

Logan, the spectacular third solo outing for the character, marks Hugh Jackman’s final performance as the Wolverine. After 17 years, 9 appearances, and enough protein consumption to last a lifetime, Jackman is finally hanging up the claws. His departure marks a bittersweet conclusion for this era of the franchise, and leaves the long-running series with a fresh and uncharted future.

There are currently quite a few X-related projects in the works, including Deadpool 2, X-Force, New Mutants, Gambit and X-Men: Supernova. But, before we’re quite ready to move into the next wave of films, check out 10 extremely interesting facts you didn’t know about the X-Men franchise! »

James Mangold Finally Explains Why Caliban Appeared In Both Logan And X-Men: Apocalypse

14 March 2017 4:02 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Trying to figure out the timeline of the X-Men Universe requires a genius level Iq and a lot of patience, and where Logan fits into things is hard to say. It seems to reference X-Men Origins: Wolverine, a movie wiped out of continuity by X-Men: Days of Future Past, while also loosely tying into both that and The Wolverine.

Confused, yet? Well, one thing which fans have been questioning for a while now is how and why Stephen Merchant could be Caliban after Tómas Lemarquis played the same character – a good 50 or so years earlier in history terms – during the events of X-Men: Apocalypse. Thankfully, Logan director James Mangold has now offered an explanation, but those of you hoping for one which will make sense of this muddled timeline will probably be disappointed by what he has to say.

There has been some speculation, due to a photo shared by actress Connie Nielsen on social media last year, that renowned boxer Ann Wolfe (who has held multiple championships in four different weight classes simultaneously) would be appearing in the DC blockbuster Wonder Woman as Artemis, and this has now been confirmed by director Patty Jenkins. X-Men: Here Is Every Film Currently In Development

13 March 2017 7:00 AM, PDT | LRMonline.com | See recent LRM Online news »

The X-Men Cinematic Universe is definitely a unique beast among the superhero universes. Marvel Studios pioneered the idea of shared universes, and since 2008, things have been relatively straightforward in that world. The same could be said of the DC Extended Universe. While the future of the film franchise is still getting shuffled around after Justice League, the actual narrative structure of the movies are easy enough to follow.

The same can not be said of the X-Men films. While the first three films were simple sequels to one another, things were first thrown out of wack with X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Things got more convoluted when X-Men: Days of Future Past attempted to merge the timelines, but only more questions came as a result. Several films later, we now have a whole new era of X-Men films on the horizon, and they all occur at potentially different points in time.

New trailer & poster for ‘Wonder Woman’

Directed by Patty Jenkins (Monster, AMC’s The Killing) and starring Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious) in the titular role, Wonder Woman made her big screen debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but this new film will mark her first time the character has headlined a solo feature – though you’d be hard-pressed to top Lynda Carter’s formidable run as the character on TV.

Wonder Woman also stars Chris Pine (Star Trek) as Captain Steve Trevor, Robin Wright (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, House of Cards), Danny Huston (Clash of the Titans, X-Men Origins: Wolverine), David Thewlis (Harry Potter), Ewen Bremner (Snowpiercer), Saïd Taghmaoui (American Hustle), Elena Anaya (The Skin I Live In) and Lucy Davis (Shaun of the Dead).

Logan Has Become The Highest Grossing Movie Of 2017 Worldwide

12 March 2017 8:13 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

While both X-Men Origins: Wolverine and The Wolverine were moderate hits, Logan has so far exceeded expectations. That’s particularly impressive considering the fact its R-rating cuts off a huge chunk of the audience, and is arguably further proof that moviegoers have an interest in superhero films which come in all forms.

It’s also an approach which is paying off for 20th Century Fox in a big way, especially as Kingsman: The Secret Service and Deadpool were also critical and commercial hits. Going back to Logan, though, and the movie has today become the highest grossing release of 2017 worldwide. That’s an impressive feat and one which you have to imagine has left studio execs wishing Hugh Jackman had stuck around for a sequel. If nothing else though, it at least makes that X-23 spinoff a very real possibility.

Logan has so far pulled in a total of $438.3 million, »

'Kong: Skull Island' Roars to $61M Opening While 'Logan' and 'Get Out' Stay Strong

12 March 2017 9:25 AM, PDT | Box Office Mojo | See recent BoxOfficeMojo.com news »

Warner Bros and Legendary's Kong: Skull Island delivered a strong opening weekend performance, topping the weekend box office and becoming the third film in as many weeks to outperform expectations. The other two films, Logan and Get Out, continued their successful runs as they finished in second and third position respectfully, with Logan just $6.3 million shy of topping The Lego Batman Movie as the highest grossing domestic release of 2017 in just ten days. Overall, the top twelve grossed an estimated $152.5 million, an improvement over last year by 3.8%. With an estimated $61 million, WB and Legendary's Kong: Skull Island finished atop the weekend box office, delivering $15,865 per theater, from 3,846 locations. This tops San Andreas, the closest film we used for comparison in our weekend preview, which opened with $54.5 million. This is, however, well behind the $93.1 million Godzilla opened with in 2014 before going on to gross $200.7 million domestically. Question is, while the opening may be a bit lighter, »

Who would’ve thunk it?

20th Century Fox did. Eventually. By accident. After over a decade and a half of making comic book movies, they lucked into Deadpool – mainly because they didn’t pay any attention to the relatively low-budget picture. Its success allowed director James Mangold to make an R Rated Wolverine movie, which opened to a staggering $237.8 million worldwide.
