Trivia

Gavin Hood wanted to make Wolverine suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder from his Army years, but 20th Century Fox vetoed the idea, as too heavy a theme for a comic-book film. See more »

Crazy Credits

SPOILER: There are two scenes set after the closing credits. The film's main post-credits scene is of the Deadpool, still alive after being decapitated, reaching for his head, leading into Deadpool (2016). An alternate post-credits scene seen (only on the DVD) is of Wolverine in a Japanese bar, leading into The Wolverine (2013). During the original theatrical run, which scene you saw was random depending on your theater; the home video version features the Deadpool scene after the credits and the Japanese bar scene is available on the two-disc DVD as a deleted scene. Much better than the reviews, actions packed FUN
4 May 2009 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Forget the reviews that focus on dialogue (it's a comic book character, of course it's clichéd) or other types of thing you may look for in movies like a Room With A View. In this movie you want to see cool action, cool use of superpowers, great fights with CGI that is not obvious and some tension about what happens next. This movie has it all. Academy awards? No. Amazing plot? No, but enough to keep it very interesting, with answers like where Adamantium comes from, Sabretooth and Wolverine relationship, introduction of Deadpool, early view of Cyclops, and much more that keeps the movie going along just fine. This is a solid action film, better than most.
