Star Wars: The Clone Wars Episode 10 – Heroes on Both Sides

Written by Daniel Arkin | Directed by Kyle Dunlevy

“When the Senate begins debating a bill that would eliminate government oversight of the Banking Clan’s activities in order to fund the war, Padmé and Ahsoka travel in secret to the capital of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Amidala attempts to forge a peace agreement with the Separatists, while Ahsoka sees, for the first time, the people of the Confederacy. Padmé’s friend, Mina Bonteri, spearheads the peace initiative, and convinces the Separatist Congress to sue for peace.

Meanwhile, on Coruscant, Senators Lott Dod and Gume Saam conspire with Banking Clan representative Nix Card and Count Dooku to make the banking deregulation a reality. At Dooku’s command, General Grievous engineers an attack at the central power distribution grid on Coruscant, carried out by Separatist demolition droids. Jon Favreau Says Magic Kingdom Won't be Night At The MUSEUMish

8 December 2010 12:01 PM, PST | kidspickflicks | See recent kidspickflicks news »

Update: Director Jon Favreau says his upcoming film about Disneyland Magic Kingdom, will Not be like A Night at the Museum. Favreau (Elf, Zathura, Iron Man 1 and 2) said on Sirius Satellite Radio's "Geektime!" that the storyline would be about a family in Disneyland who bring the attractions to life, but, "I don’t think it’s going to be mixing all the other movies. I think it’s going to be its own thing; I don’t think it will be like Night of the Museum. I want to make it a little bit spookier like the old Disney movies were and try to really capture that tone.

"This is something that I’ve always been drawn to and now to say ‘What characters do you want to use and how do you not make it Space Jam or like the Christmas parade with every character?’ How do you show »

Exclusive: Clones Wars 2 Featurette

15 November 2010 6:56 AM, PST | EmpireOnline | See recent EmpireOnline news »

Boba Fett is one of Star War's most popular and iconic characters. Now's the time for his race, the war-like Mandalorians, to get their moment in the sun too, in Star Wars: Clone Wars season 2. While the Jedi are immersed in intergalactic battling with the Separatists, the aggressive Mandalorians are 'the third edge', enemies of the Jedi but hardly bosom buddies with the Sith either, who jostle for galactic primacy. This behind-the-scenes featurette from the series shows Pre Viszla, leader of the Mandalorians' Death Watch faction, scheming to overthrow the pacifist Duchess of Mandalore, Satine Kryze, and generally blow stuff up. He's voiced by none other than Jon Favreau, not traditionally the last word in menace, but a villain growly enough to impress Dooku himself. Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 2 is out now.  »

An Iron Man Comes to Disneyland

11 November 2010 12:00 AM, PST | kidspickflicks | See recent kidspickflicks news »

It would be awesome to be one of Iron Man director Jon Favreau's kids for the next few months -- they're going to be spending a lot of time at Disneyland. That's because their dad has been hired to figure out how to turn the theme park into a movie called The Magic Kingdom. The idea is to use the locations, rides and characters within the Magic Kingdom similar to how the Smithsonian was utilized in Night at the Museum so Daffy Duck, Buzz Lightyear and Jessica Rabbit could theoretically be dodging headhunters on the Jungle Cruise. Strike Entertainment (Flash of Genius) is developing the project for Disney.

Disney has been exploring this for a while, originally brought to them through the book series "Kingdom Keepers" in which a bunch of Florida teenagers are turned into holographic guides who have to fight Maleficent as the park's characters come to life. »

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Episode 6 – The Academy

Written by Cameron Litvack | Directed by Giancarlo Volpe

“Ahsoka is assigned to teach a class at a leadership academy on Mandalore. Soon after she arrives, Duchess Satine’s zealous nephew — Korkie — and his classmates uncover a nefarious plot. Prime Minister Almec is revealed to be an active part of the black market conspiracy on Mandalore, and he attempts to permanently silence Duchess Satine and the cadets before they expose his corruption. Ahsoka and the cadets defeat Almec before he can succeed.”

Yep, another Mandalore episode, but this is one of the more entertaining ones, although if you’re expecting an Ahsoka Tano undercover episode you’ll be disappointed. This episode is very Scooby-doo like with the young cadets uncovering a conspiracy, you expect the villain of the episode (“Oh my, the ghost was Old Man Almec all along!”) to utter the famous »

Tower Prep Premieres Tonight: And You Thought Your School Was A Prison For Gifted Kids?

19 October 2010 1:00 PM, PDT | ScifiMafia | See recent ScifiMafia news »

Premiering tonight on Cartoon Network, Tower Prep is a new live-action, hour-long series aimed at young adults. The show follows a group of teens with special powers held at a mysterious boarding school of an undisclosed location and agenda.

If you thought your high school experience was odd, try not remembering how you got to this prep school in the first place (and in one character’s case, not even remembering anything before arriving at said school) and being faced with nameless adult authority figures. Yes, it’s just “Head Master” or “Nurse” to these kids, but this is no Xavier’s Institute for Higher Learning.

Executive producer and writer, Paul Dini (Batman: The Brave and The Bold, Star Wars: The Clone Wars), of comics and animation cred, talks about the inspiration behind the series:

“This was an idea that always intrigued me ever since I went to boarding school some years back. »

My Generation Series Premiere Review (Season 1 Episode 1): Pilot

23 September 2010 5:40 PM, PDT | BuzzFocus.com | See recent BuzzFocus.com news »

The My Generation series premiere presents viewers with an ambitious character dynamic. Much like Modern Family, the series employs a dramatic-mockumentary lens to explore America’s changing landscape over the last 10 years. However, instead of dealing with a small nucleus of the population, My Generation captures a more expansive view of our changing society through nine very diverse sets of eyes. Each character has been affected by anything from prejudice and 9-11 to Enron and election mishaps. The cast includes Michael Stahl-David (Cloverfield, Numb3rs), Julian Morris (24), Mehcad Brooks (True Blood), Kelli Garner (Going the Distance), Jaime King (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Keir O'Donnell (Sons of Anarchy), Sebastian Sozzi (Law & Order), Daniella Alonso (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) and Anne Son (ER). Each character has his or her moment to shine in this ensemble series, making this one show to look out for this Fall. My Generation begins with »

Jaime King Joins The 'Star Wars' Original Trilogy In Today's Daily TwitPic

20 July 2010 7:18 AM, PDT | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

I'm pretty sure that Twitter-Wood writer Brian Warmoth picked out today's Daily TwitPic knowing I'd be all over it. Thanks, Brian!

In the "Star Wars" prequel trilogy, a character was introduced named Aurra Sing, the white-skinned, topknot-wearing bounty hunter contracted to take out Queen Amidala. She doesn't have a whole lot of screen time, but like Boba Fett in the Original Trilogy, Sing is a memorable figure, one who has only grown more complex since her appearance on "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," as voiced by Jaime King. She's also attracted a large group of fans, one of whom is Photoshop-savvy enough to have inserted her into a scene from the first "Star Wars" movie. Check it out after the jump!

Remember to check out Brian Warmoth's Twitter-Wood column every day for an early jump on your Daily TwitPic.

'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' Actor Daniel Logan On Bringing Back Boba Fett

30 April 2010 12:39 PM, PDT | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

Daniel Logan was just 13 years old when he introduced "Star Wars" fans across the world to a young Boba Fett in 2002, in "Attack of the Clones." Now, 10 years later, he's back to voice a teenage version of the notorious bounty hunter-to-be in the three episode arc that will close the third season of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars." We got our first look last Friday; the season closes tonight with an hour's worth of episodes focusing on Boba and his bounty hunting pals.

For his part, Logan enjoys the opportunity to further develop this character he first played almost a decade ago. "He had his father all throughout Episode II. He was more or less confused," Logan explained. "He was like any child, he wants to be by his father's side and always be backing his father no matter if he's in the wrong or in the right."
