Storyline

Lillian Boggs receives a telegram from her childhood sweetheart in the west saying that he is coming east to see her. Now Lillian loves Teddy Moose, her western hero, and tells her other two suitors, Steppling and Calvert, that they will have to prove their courage before Teddy arrives in order to receive any consideration. Steppling engages the services of a thug to attack Lillian in the park so that he may play the hero. The plan works fine until the very moment that John is about to rush to Lillian's aid, when he is captured by a fair flirt and is only brought to his senses when Lillian appears with the thug she has haltered up, and Steppling receives a black eye from the enraged Fellow, and is stung when both the flirt and Lillian leave him in disgust. Meanwhile, Calvert persuades his pal, Bailey, to impersonate Teddy Moose from the west, frighten old Boggs to death so that he may come in and throw him out at the proper moment and win the girl.
