It was announced today that Maple Pictures will be releasing Anagram Pictures The Thaw, which we first announced here. Directed by Mark A. Lewis, Martha MacIssac and Val Kilmer have both been set to star in the film, according to Dread Central. Shooting on the eco-horror film, about a group of students trying to stop an ancient parasite from spreading after a woolly mammoth is thawed out, will kick off its five-week run on June 16th in Williams Lake and Vancouver, British Columbia. Anagram was co-founded in 1997 by Vancouver filmmakers Trent Carlson and Andrew Currie, whose 2007 retro-zombie comedy "Fido" was released in the U.S. through Lionsgate.
