Ralphie May, Last Comic Standing Finalist, Dead at 45
Ralphie May, a stand-up comedian who launched his career on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, has died at the age of 45.

May’s manager confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter; TMZ reports that May died of cardiac arrest in Las Vegas on Friday after battling pneumonia for a number of weeks.

Mike Judge is behind a new TV show this month, with Cinemax’s “Mike Judge Presents: Tales from the Tour Bus,” an animated eight-episode series looking into the lives and times behind some iconic country music performers.

Some of these folks are household names from Nashville to Norway, but others are lesser-known figures from the country music world. They all have distinct styles and, as “Mike Judge Presents: Tales from the Tour Bus” shows, they all led very different lives away from the stage.

We’ll leave the prime anecdotes and animated hijinks to the experts (the series premieres Friday, September 22 at 10pm Et/Pt on Cinemax), but in the meantime, here’s a primer on the musicians that make up the backbone of this illustrated look at country music history.

Some really cool news has come out of the Cartoon Network camp today. Variety announced that Cartoon Network's Adult Swim has some pretty awesome plans to ensure that their current, future, and past fan bases will all be entertained. One of the steps they are taking is to bring us new episodes of Samurai Jack. Earlier this year, Adult Swim announced the series revival would be coming, but this solidifies their plans, and there are a ton of other new announcements that Cn has revealed:

Adult Swim wants to cut a new swath through its audience.

The Time Warner-owned cable programmer that tilts toward millennial viewers and younger generations with animated fare shown in primetime and overnights, said it would release more original programming via streaming video for daytime viewing as part of an effort to spur its audience to increase consumption of its oddball but cult-favorite content.

The outlet ” simply knows its audience,” said Christina Miller, president and general manager, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Boomerang, in a prepared statement.

On Friday, Paramount debuted a new trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, which gave us another look at the villainous Krang, although there still isn't much we know about how he fits into the story at this point. During the studio's WonderCon panel, producers Bradley Fuller and Andrew Form revealed to the crowed that Krang will be voiced by none other than Fred Armisen. Bradley Fuller teased that "Anyone who loves Fred will love what he is doing," while Andrew Form hinted that we may see more of Krang in marketing materials soon.

Original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stars Megan Fox (April O'Neil), Will Arnett (Vern Fenwick), William Fichtner (Eric Sacks), Alan Ritchson (Raphael), Noel Fisher (Michelangelo), Pete Ploszek (Leonardo) and Jeremy Howard (Donatello) are reprising their roles for the sequel. Upfront 2015: Adult Swim To Launch ‘TV Sucks,’ ‘Neon Joe’
Adult Swim intends to launch two new series and a handful of limited-run specials while bringing back fan-favorite programs including “Rick and Morty,” “Childrens Hospital” and “The Jack and Triumph Show” (pictured, above) in a bid to cultivate additional standing among young adults in 2015 and 2016.

The Time Warner-owned network, part of the company’s Turner unit, said its coming lineup would include more 30 new and returning series, pilots and specials.

New programming includes:

“TV Sucks” – A quarter-hour animated sketch show created by Brad Neely featuring one-off shorts and songs.. Neely and Daniel Weidenfeld serve as executive producers, Dave Newberg as co-executive producer, with Titmouse, Inc. producing.

Adult Swim's newest live-action offering, "Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell," imagines a world in which demons are just regular saps, climbing the corporate ladder like the rest of us. Comedian Henry Zebrowski stars as Gary, an associate demon, who tries his best to make it in the underworld in the first-look video above.

The series comes from Dave Willis, co-creator of Adult Swim favorites, "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" and "Squidbillies."
