10/10! What the hell was the academy thinking? James McAndrew is ten times the actor Jamie Foxx is. He should have brought home the Oscar for this daring portrayal of the tortured genius that is Dewey McCloud. Let's only hope Hollywood realizes the mastery of McAndrew's acting chops and starts putting this kid in more films. He's the goods. The finest young actor around today.
You owe it to yourself to see this film. It is arguably the greatest independent film in the history of American Cinema. Citizen Kane, The Godfather, Casablanca, It's a Wonderful Life?...forget about it! No contest, Dewey has it over all of them.
