Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

A woman and a man kiss multiple times. The same couple later has sex, but nothing is explicitly shown (the scene is very brief). We see her pull the man's shirt off, and then see her dress drop to the ground. Clothes are seen dropping and some skin is seen, later a man is shown lying on top of a woman in bed kissing her passionately, and both their legs and thighs are visible briefly, and though they are both clearly nude, no sensitive body parts are shown.

A woman is shown in a bath, but there is no nudity. A man is shown washing himself (without nudity).

An Aborigine man's butt is shown, but it is part of his tribal outfit.

A major theme of the film is the coerced sex with Aboriginal women by white estate owners, resulting in illegitimate children who are prejudiced against.

A brief scene in which a man is shown punching other men is shown with quick cuts. A woman drowns and a child is also in peril. A man threatens to beat a child's mother. A man is shot, but nothing is shown. A man is run over by a stampede of cattle. The scene is somewhat graphic. A man is show dead on a table with a piece of a spear in him. A man attempts to shoot a child. A man throws a spear at another man and it goes through his body. War violence is shown.

1 use of the f-word. Some racial stereotyping words including "creamy" referring to a mixed child. Derogatory words like 'boong' used for indigenous Australians.

A woman and a man drink rum together. A man is a drunk who later on loses his habit. A woman and a man drink in a bar together. A man drinks a beer.

The action scenes are meant to be intense. Some war scenes may be too intense for children.

MPAA:
Rated PG-13 for some violence, a scene of sensuality, and brief strong language
