Soup(Christian Berrigan) is running for Class President, and Rob(Shane Sinutko) , Soup's best friend, is his political manager. Ahh that is the cut of the jib,Rob's girl friend, Norma Jean Bissel is also running for Class President, and he must choose where his loyalties lie !!! This is the last movie for Florida Friebus, Mother to Dobie Gillis' show. A delightful actress who is very talented, but often overlooked . Great for homespun types, with a wicked sense of humor and understatement. Truly missed .
So, Soup and Rob campaigns tactics shall we say run the gamut,dirty politics at such a young age, but do they work ? Very well done ABC Weekend Special, with lessons to learn at many levels. Ethics , behavior, politics, and Love !!! A very enjoyable time to spend with your young ones on a rainy Sat. afternoon. If You can find a copy , it is well worth watching !!!
I rate it a 9 for honesty and sentimental values, you ran across, when you were growing up !!! A Right of Passage !!!
