It's nice to see Amy Adams singing Jazz. Her voice is good. Not the very best Jazz singer in terms of timing and inflection but still very good. The story is a strange mix of the finance world and Jazz. It's a bit musical like. Some of it is a bit contrived and the story can get annoying at times. Alec Newman is little unattractive to be the romantic lead. Don't know whether he actually played the piano but it sounded good. Harriet Harris is a delightful supporting cast. But it's not really for the story that you watch it more for the music.
This one didn't have a big theatrical release so many wouldn't even know it was made. Still a worth while watch to see Amy Adams before she really struck the big time.
