When Did Channing Tatum Start To Rock?

At some point Channing Tatum went from man-candy (what? It's been said) to movie star. His star rose when Step Up stole the hearts of romantic comedy lovers that had waited too long for a new dance film. Seemed like Save The Last Dance had been decades before, despite the fact it actually released only five years prior. But, let's take a look back at Channing's filmography and see exactly where Tatum became something more.

CSI: Miami - Bob Davenport (2004) Never saw it, lets assume he was "okay."Coach Carter - Jason Lyle (2005) Same as CSI: Miami, watching Samuel L. Jackson as a coach just seemed too easy. Yell. Throw Notebook. Win baby, win.War of the Worlds - Boy in Church (uncredited, 2005) Wuh? Did they know he was just in Coach Carter?Havoc - Nick (2005) Is this the Havoc with Anne Hatheway's nude scene? Must go back and pay

Why Channing Tatum Won Our Hearts in She’s the Man

Before Channing Tatum showed us his moves in Step Up, made us crack up in 22 Jump Street, or stripped down in Magic Mike Xxl, he did all of those things as Duke in the 2006 film She's the Man. He first caught our eyes in the comedy alongside Amanda Bynes, playing a charming, silly, and slightly ditzy soccer player with a penchant for taking his shirt off. To celebrate Tatum's birthday on Tuesday, we're reliving all the reasons we love the movie, from crazy antics to adorable insecurities and constant shirtlessness.

With HSM and A Cinderella Story Getting a Reboot, 5 More 2000s Movies We Want to See Remade
With the news that both High School Musical and A Cinderella Story are getting the modern-day treatment, the question has to be asked: What other movies should follow suit?

Well conveniently enough, we have a few suggestions …

1. 13 Going on 30

Watching a '90s kid try to tackle the world of smartphones, Snapchat and Instagram is bound for lots of laughs. As for the work party scene, we recommend swapping out "Thriller" for the "Cha Cha Slide."

2. She's the Man

With social media, pulling off a sibling swap like this would be a lot harder. (Sebastian would definitely be tweeting from his European tour.

iZombie season 2 episode 7 review: Abra Cadaver

iZombie's lack of commitment to serialised storytelling in season two is starting to grate...

This review contains spoilers.

2.7 Abra Cadaver

iZombie has never strictly been a procedural show, but it has definitely oscillated on the spectrum between procedural and serialized. Now, depending on what kind of television viewer you are, this week's episode may have been exactly the kind of episode of television — and iZombie — that you like. It was a fun, fast, quippy procedural about an emo magician's murder.

For me, however, as someone who tends to skew towards the serialised side of that television narrative spectrum, it was less than exciting to see iZombie return to such a heavily procedural episode after what has been a string of episodes interested in the deeper, darker elements of this zombie world. Especially with last episode's reveal that Major hasn't really been offing zombies; he's just been freezing them.

Male Stripper to Movie Star: The Evolution of Channing Tatum

Male Stripper to Movie Star: The Evolution of Channing Tatum
"I didn't want to move or act like a rich man. I wanted to dance in a pair of jeans. I wanted to dance like the man in the streets." – Gene Kelly

It's hard to imagine — let alone remember — living in a world where it wasn't a universally acknowledged truth that Channing Tatum used to be a stripper. Today, that particular chapter of his origin story seems as inextricable from the 35-year-old actor's story as Ginger Rogers is from Fred Astaire's career, or Scientology is from that of Tom Cruise,

Nearly Naked Channing Tatum Shows Off Ripped High School Bod in a Speedo: See the Epic Tbt Pic!

Nearly Naked Channing Tatum Shows Off Ripped High School Bod in a Speedo: See the Epic Tbt Pic!
Wow, Channing Tatum was wearing a thong way before Magic Mike. This pic comes all the way from the last millennium, when the hunk was in a body building contest for Tampa Catholic High School in 1998 (check out that Speedo!). We've seen the 35-year-old actor play high schoolers in movies like She's the Man and 21 Jump Street, but now we have the real deal.  In an interview with GQ Channing shared why he is passionate about working out, "Truthfully, this is how I approach my work out: I want to be the best athlete I can possibly be. If I can out-perform some of the better athletes then I'm happy. When I look at the NFL or the NBA, these guys look how I want to look - it's...

Writers of Legally Blonde, 500 Days of Summer, and Wet Hot American Summer Participate in Vulture Festival’s Screenwriter Roundtable
On Saturday morning at Vulture Festival, attendees were treated to a roundtable discussion with three incredibly different screenwriters. Featuring Karen McCullah (Legally Blonde, 10 Things I Hate About You, Ella Enchanted, She's the Man, The House Bunny), Michael Weber (500 Days of Summer, The Fault in Our Stars, The Spectacular Now, Paper Towns), and Michael Showalter (Wet Hot American Summer), the trio touched on all aspects of the glamorously gritty screenwriting process, as well as relaying advice and sharing anecdotes about their respective films. For starters? It turns out that the ending of Legally Blonde was rewritten after test audiences weren’t keen on the original conclusion, with Elle Woods and her fellow Harvard-ians forming a “Blonde Legal Defense Club.” For more fun tidbits, watch the discussion below.

Disney Planning a Remake of 1992 Hit Musical Comedy 'Sister Act'

Another day, another remake. This time I simply cannot get excited for this, just no way. THR is reporting that Disney is preparing a new version of Sister Act, but of course. Why not mine their entire collection of past live-action films that made a boatload of money and... remake them! All of them! The only good news is that they're hiring writers Kirsten "Kiwi" Smith and Karen McCullah, of the films 10 Things I Hate About You, Legally Blonde, She's the Man, The House Bunny, The Ugly Truth, Crazy Kind of Love, plus Expendabelles coming up. Disney is putting Cinderella producer Allison Shearmur on-board to develop it. Other than that, they're not sure if Whoopi Goldberg, who starred in the original, will even be back or not. Touchstone Pictures' 1992 film Sister Act starring Whoopi Goldberg was actually a completely original idea pitched by screenwriter Paul Rudnick. His original script

Hallelujah! Sister Act is Getting a Disney Remake

Hallelujah! Sister Act is Getting a Disney Remake
It's been more than 20 years, but our prayers have finally been answered!  The 1992 Whoopi Goldberg classic Sister Act is in the works for a Disney remake, multiple sources confirm to E! News after The Hollywood Reporter broke the story. While Goldberg has yet to comment on her involvement in the reboot as Sister Mary Catherine (fingers crossed, though!) the writers from girl power comedies Legally Blonde, She's the Man and House Bunny Kirstin "Kiwi" Smith and Karen McCullah are confirmed to pen the nun-tastic film. Alli Shearmur from Disney's live-action hit Cinderella will produce.  In the original flick, Goldberg's character finds refuge in a San Francisco...

Disney Developing 'Sister Act' Remake

It would seem that Disney's raiding of its own vaults for movie ideas isn't just limited to animated films: the studio is now dusting off a '90s hit and giving it a contemporary spin. THR reports that the mouse house is working on a remake of "Sister Act." Kirsten "Kiwi" Smith and Karen McCullah, screenwriters on "Legally Blonde," "The House Bunny" and "She's the Man," will pen what the trade calls a new "installment." Which is probably code for "remake" and "if Whoopi Goldberg is around and willing, she can jump into the movie too." The original film followed a Reno lounge singer who hides out with a bunch of nuns while on the run from the mob, and lots of comedic and musical mishaps occur. It's a charming, massive hit that spawned a less satisfying sequel. Read More: Watch: 'Night on Bald Mountain Sequence From 'Fantasia' Which Disney

Fifty Shades of Grey and 9 More Examples of When Fan Fiction Became Blockbusters

Fifty Shades of Grey and 9 More Examples of When Fan Fiction Became Blockbusters
Fan fiction is more prevalent than you might think. With Fifty Shades of Grey being unleashed in theaters Friday, there's no denying that the novel's author, E L James, has brought fan fiction into the spotlight. Originally titled Master of the Universe, James's Twilight fan fiction based on Stephenie Meyer's multi-million dollar franchise first found its home on FanFiction.net. After the racy material within the story forced James to pull it from FanFiction.net, she next hosted Master of the Universe on her own website called 50Shades.com (which now redirects to her official author page). Back then,
