Storyline

Fellow students of Punjab University, Navdeep Singh and Harmaan Kaur, fall in love with each other. She introduces him to her dad, Retired Colonel Thakur Singh, who instantly disapproves and wants his daughter to marry a groom from the U.S.. Navdeep's dad, Retired Major Balwinder Singh Brar, also opposes this alliance, and wants his son to complete his studies before getting married. Balwinder subsequently changes his mind but wants Thakur to adapt to tradition and approach him - but Thakur refuses to do so. The couple then conspire with their fellow students and arrange for their parents to meet on neutral ground. It is this decision that will shatter and change their lives forever. I liked the movie.
13 December 2005 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

The songs are good. Not a great story, but really great going by the general standard of the Punjabi movies. Jimmy Shergill looks good, and a little better than Harbhajan Mann because Jimmy is an actor by profession. Manmohan Singh seems to be the only person making some good standard Punjabi movies. Please support the Punjabi movie industry by buying this DVD. We need more Punjabi movies like these. The comedy by Ghuggi is also good, but the other actress that was paired with her (I don't remember the name) is not so good. Seems like she was unfit for the role, and her Punjabi was also not so good. Still, overall the movie was pretty good. All the Punjabis will really enjoy it.
