Obviously the BBC have run out of ideas . Take STRICTLY DANCE FEVER which is a cross between FAME ACADEMY ( Itself a rip off from POP IDOL ) and STRICTLY COME DANCING which is a regurgitation of COME DANCING
The format is simple , two couples of aspiring dancers audition in front of the panel of judges and the judges eliminate one couple with the other couple going through to that edition's final where the television audience phone up to vote for the couple they thought were the best with the winners going through to the grand final
This is yet another reality show where members of the public get their 15 minutes of fame except instead of aspiring pop stars they're aspiring dancers . Has anyone became rich and famous through being a dancer ? I know a lot of legends started off as dancers , James Cagney for example , but they moved onto bigger and better things so why are the losing contestants so upset at losing . " All my life it's been my dream to be a successful dancer " they sob . I guess a self evident dream is lost on me
Did I say that the BBC have run out of ideas ? No doubt they'll be running out of money too since presenter Graham Norton was paid a multi million pound deal to defect from Channel 4 to the BBC and he's presenting this as part of the deal ? Lionel Blair or indeed Tony Blair would have been just as effective as a presenter and would have cost far less . Expect next years licence fee to cause severe homelessness amongst Britain's population
