This is a fine film for its kind, with surprisingly decent acting, strong plotting and good production values. The story moves along with snappy, hardboiled dialog and Phil Fondecaro and Raelyn Hennessee stand out as the midget Van Helsing and vampire stripper, respectively. This could be a breakout film for screenwriter August White. He jacks up the conventions of a tired genre and keeps what could have been a sagging storyline moving at lightning speed! Charlie Band does it again. Also, if you are in the mood for entertaining horror check out Jim Wynorski's "Hard to Die", also known as "Tower of Terror." It too has its share of lingerie-clad women and cheesy gore. It is a bit more graphic in that respect than "Decadent Evil," which tones down the blood for story and character development.
