Storyline

Babak and Friends - A First Norooz is the story of little Babak who is not familiar with the traditions of the Persian New Year Norooz. When his cousins Saman and Sousanne come to visit, little Bobby realizes that he is missing out on the Best Day of the Year! With the help of Amoo Norooz and Haji Firooz and a trip to the ancient capital of the Persian Empire, Persepolis, Babak learns about Norooz and rejoices in the rich culture of Iran.

I loved it -- it's a very cute movie that does what it intended to do...it educates the general population on that aspect of the Persian culture.

Even the stuff going on in the background is humorous. The short film is very well put together and you catch something new every time you watch it. My roommates and I have watched it several times and don't get tired of it.

Catherine Bell adds star quality as she does in anything she's in. This is a must for any true fan of the talented actress, though the part is a lot different from anything she's ever done before.
