Submissions are now open for the 22nd annual African Diaspora International Film Festival, which will run from November 24 to December 14, 2014. The call specifically invites women of color filmmakers from around the world, with feature length narrative or documentary films, to compete for the Public Award for the Best Film Directed by a Woman of Color. The winner receives a $1,000 cash award, as well as a plaque.  The deadline for submission is Sunday, August 31, and there is No Entry Fee!  Films submitted must be New York premieres. Salman Khans double roles in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and No Entry Mein Entry

This Khan has never known moderation. After 1997's Judwaa Salman Khan had never played a double role. That is about to change three times over. In his next three successive releases, Salman Khan features in double roles. First off was the eagerly-awaited Kick in which Salman features in the two avatars of the hero and a caped super-hero. Says the film's director Sajid Nadiadwala, "People never expected Salman in a super-hero avatar since the original Telugu film had no such character." After his triumph in the hero-superhero avatars, Salman Khan goes straight into Sooraj Barjatya's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo where he has a full-fledged double role. And that isn't all. Salman sings romantic song for Kick

Salman Khan seems to be exploring all his (hidden) talents one by one. After having made his mark as an impeccable TV host (10 Ka Dum, Bigg Boss), then penning lyrics (in No Entry's sequel), Salman is now all set to be a singer as well. He has now sung a romantic duet with Shreya Ghoshal in Sajid Nadiadwala's directorial debut Kick. The said track is called 'Hangover' and has been composed by the Meet Brothers. The song was shot at Mehboob Studio a couple of days back. Buzz is that the gorgeous Nargis Fakhri has been roped in to do a special number in the film. »

Salman turns lyricist for No Entry sequel

Salman Khan is one actor who has attached his name not just to the roles he has played but to films that he has produced. Son of a celebrated scriptwriter, Salim Khan, Salman had earlier written the script of Veer. And now we hear that Salman will soon be turning lyricist with the film No Entry Mein Entry. Apparently Salman has penned the lyrics for the first song of Anees Bazmee's sequel to No Entry and the same has already been recorded. While the composition for the song has been done by 18 year old, PalashMucchal, and has been sung by his sister Palak. No Entry Mein Entry that is scheduled to go on floors in January 2015 also features Bipasha Basu, Lara Dutta and Celina Jaitley. »

Boney Kapoor, the man behind many hit films, has ultimately spoken about the 'status' of No Entry Mein Entry, the much awaited sequel of his hit film No Entry. Talking about the same, he not only rubbished the rumors about Salman Khan walking out of his film, but also added that since Salman is busy with Kick till mid-July, he will be starting No Entry Mein Entry in January 2015. He also added that Salman has allotted 134 days to the film. When asked about the star cast, Boney said that besides Anil Kapoor and Fardeen Khan, there will be Bipasha Basu, Lara Dutta and Celina Jaitley and also that he is planning to ask Esha Deol for one of the seven heroines, which they are looking out for. Rumors are also abuzz that the trio of Salman, Anil and Fardeen will be seen in triple roles and that Salman and Fardeen will have lookalike sons, »

Call for Entry: 12th World Film Festival of Bangkok

The 12th Annual World Film Festival of Bangkok, scheduled to take place from October 17-26, 2014 in Bangkok, Thailand, is calling for entries.

It is open for short and feature film submissions in all genres.

Films can be submitted now with No entry fee. The final submission deadline is August 15, 2014.

Entry forms, rules, and regulations are available here.

More than 80 international films are screened at the festival each year, featuring works from the European Union, Latin America, Asia and Southeast Asia and includes short films, experimental films, documentaries and animation productions.

Sonakshis sensuous introductory song for Boneys film

Boney Kapoor's Tevar, his first film on the floors in 8 years, just got bigger. The enterprising producer has now decided to shoot a big introductory song with his leading lady Sonakshi Sinha. The song is being currently shot in Indore apparently at a cost of whopping Rs 2.5 crores. Apparently, Sonakshi's costume alone costs a mind blowing Rs. 75 lakhs. Sajid-Wajid who has composed the song was briefed to come up with an item song on a par if not better than Kareena Kapoor's 'Fevicol' song in Dabangg 2. Speaking from Indore where the song is being shot right now, Boney Kapoor said, "Firstly let me clarify I am not the producer, just the guardian-overseer of Tevar. My brother Sanjay Kapoor is the official producer. I can't tell you much about the song except that it would be one of the biggest item songs ever. Remo D'Souza is choreographing it. »

Mumbai, Jan 16: Actress Bipasha Basu, who is reportedly dating Harman Baweja, refused to speak on her relationship status but said that she will have a typical Bengali wedding.

"Whenever I get married it will be a Bengali wedding. If I won't have a Bengali wedding my mother won't come. She has warned me. So, I am going to have a Bengali wedding for sure," Bipasha, known for films like "Jism" "Corporate" and "No Entry", told Ians.

"But the only condition is that nobody will dance at my wedding, everybody will only exercise," added the 35-year-old, a fitness freak who has launched the third volume of her fitness DVD titled. »

Call for Entry: Gautam Buddha International Film Festival 2014

Gautam Buddha International Film Festival 2014, in its first edition, is calling for entries from filmmakers under various categories in the competitive section.

Entries must comprise only of films on Children, for Children or, by Children.

The festival will take place across four cities of Patna, Nalanda, Nawada and Gaya in Bihar from 21st February to 27th February.

The last date to send entries is 31st January but those who register online before 26th January can send entries by 10th January. There is No entry fee. The date of completion or censor (whichever is later) shouldn’t be earlier than 1st January 2011.

There are two special prizes for directors, one for Under-16 and another for Under-13 age-group.
