Storyline

Operating a Television Network from Vancouver, Sardar Jasbir Singh Grewal, arranges the marriage of his only child, Simar, with Mulhapur-based, Inder Veer Singh, the son of his friend, Arjun, much to the chagrin of his snobbish wife, Kuldip. Simar and Inder find themselves compatible, and an engagement ceremony is arranged. It is during this event that they find out that Inder has no intention of re-locating to Canada, and the ceremony is canceled. After sometime, Inder decides to visit the Grewals in order to try and convince Simar to return to India, and also visit his married sister, who he has not seen for over 7 years, as well as a former girlfriend, Jaspreet, who also live in Vancouver. Once there, he witnesses the plight of his sister, Jaspreet, and other Punjabis, making him question whether Canada is really the perceived 'heaven on Earth'; what C.B.C.D. really means; little knowing Simar has no intention of ever settling down in India. Jee Aayan Nu is a love story with emotions and sentiments of two families, one living in Canada and the other in Punjab, India. The story is about Indians settled abroad and their difficulties in adopting their own Indian culture. Jee Aayan nu is the first film in the history of Punjabi cinema that is being made on such a lavish scale with re-owned technicians who have contributed their best efforts and dedications to the film.

Mr Grewal (Kanwaljeet) a business tycoon of the media industry, an Indian but settled Canada with his wife and two daughters. Simar (Priya Gill) his elder one was three years old when she was brought to Canada from her birthplace India. Living a lavish life in Canada both daughters are highly influenced by the foreign culture. Mr Grewal with his family comes to India after many years in order to attend a college function. Mr Grewal meets Inder (Harbhajan Mann) who happens to be Grewal's childhood friend's son Grewal asks Inder to take Simar to show the beauty of Punjab.

While sightseeing Inder makes Simar realize how loving natured the India people are and how it is beautifully blended with their Indian culture . Though Simar is impressed but her mother (Navnit Nishan) is not comfortable in her own country and its lifestyle. Inder and Simar soon fall in love and the families decide to get them married. However at their engagement Inder realizes that Simar's family insist Inder to settling in Canada with them after their Marriage. Inder refuse to leave India. Annoyed at Inder's, the Grewal family returns to Canada.

Time passes and soon Inder's parents seeing his pain without Simar, insist that he should go to Canada and get his lost love back. Inder leaves and is now determined that he would get Simar back....

Does Inder succeed ? DOES Simar realize Inder's unconditional love for her ? The answers to these questions form the rest of JEE AAYAN NU
