This film took place over the course of three days: 22 June 2004 to 24 June 2004. The performers in the show had little to no knowledge of what the subject matter of the performance would be.
The performance itself was canceled twice, and the screening of the film at Legends was canceled only five hours before the screening was scheduled to begin. The manager of Legends was apparently upset by the way the film went about "Legends Bashing". A subsequent re-edited version was submitted at a length of 61 minutes with large portions of "Legends Bashing" excised from the film, but this version was rejected as well. Thomas was forced to show only a two-minute trailer for the film throughout the evening. Thomas originally planned on creating a protest outside of Legends to stop patrons from entering, but upon reconsideration and the threat of police arrest, the protest was halted.
During the "Flesh is the Law" section of the performance, Mark Thomas accidentally slit his own wrists with the large knife he produces in the beginning of the song. Very little precaution was taken during the rehearsal's of the show and during the performance itself, leading Thomas to shout, "Thank you for surviving."
The world premiere of the film was cancelled only a few hours before screening. The owners of Legends acquired a copy of the 61 minute version of the film and decided to cancel the screening due to the graphic content.
