One of the first gag shows waiting to be axed from ABS prime time comedy lineup is 'Yes Yes Show', a comedy-cum-improvisation-tragedy that should share the blame for the downfall of ABS' ratings.
'Yes Yes Show' is exactly what you'll get when you cross over-acting comedians with kindergarten-brained writers, and it stars Dagul, Long Mejia, Dennis Padilla, and Jim Carrey wannabe Vhong Navarro (whose over-acting antics are very painful to watch).
Now, the reason this show suffered in the ratings is because they tried to copy too much of their rival show 'Nuts Entertainment' whose comedians are the innovators of comedy improvisation in the Philippines. 'Yes' photocopied from 'Nuts' everything down to the last comedy improvisation game. Added to the fact that the writing was terribly done and Vhong Navarro over-acting his brains out of the TV screen, 'Yes' turned out to be too tragic to watch and induced more headaches than laughs.
'Yes Yes Show' is another tragic example and lesson that the network should learn from, but rest assured they will again try to keep this axed show forgotten in the vaults of old shows that came and went.
