First off, let me say this. Road Wild '98 was filmed at an outdoor location. The weather is obviously hot and humid because most of the wrestlers come out with slight sunburns. Also, the first two matches are kinda slow because of the heat. This isn't a problem once the sun goes down later in the event. This is not my favorite WCW PPV or even my favorite Road Wild. I give this PPV a 5/10. It loses two point because of the sluggish first two matches. It loses 1 point due to the weak announcing. It loses 2 more points because the main event is the Jay Leno match instead of the Battle Royal. If they would have put the 'gimmick' Leno match in the middle and the Battle Royal at the end...it would have made the ending more climactic. However, the Battle Royal is the high point of the PPV, with the Leno match just making for a lame finish. They made the same mistake during Wrestlemania 11, with Lawrence Taylor vs Bam Bam Bigelow ending the event. These celebrity matches should NEVER be the main event.

These are NOT in order as they appear in PPV: MATCH 1: Diamond Dallas Page and Jay Leno with Kevin Eubanks vs Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff with Elizabeth and The Disciple MATCH 2: Battle Royal Goldberg vs nWo Black and White members Scott Hall, The Giant, Curt Henning, Scott Norton vs nWo Wolfpack red and black members Kevin Nash, Sting, Lex Luger, Konnan MATCH 3: Cruiserwight Championship title match with Special referee Dean Malenko: Chris Jericho vs Juventud Guerrera MATCH 4: Brian Adams with Vincent vs Steve Mongo Mcmichael MATCH 5: Stevie Ray vs Chavo Guerrero Jr MATCH 6: Rey Mysterio Jr vs Psicosis MATCH 7: Raven vs Saturn vs Kanyon MATCH 8: Public Enemy: Rocco Rock and Johnny Grunge vs Disco Inferno and Alex Wright with Tokyo Magnum MATCH 9: Barbarian vs Meng
