Storyline

It is an Asahi TV drama based on the popular 70's manga. Oka Hiromi (Ueto Aya) on her first day at Nishi High School is captivated by the beauty, loveliness and strength of backhand of a local starlet of female tennis - Reiko Ryuzaki (Matsumoto Rio). In pursuit of her idol she joins the tennis team. The story of passion, friendship and rivalry begins. Later on, Hiromi, although being a greenhorn at tennis, manages to catch the attention of Munakata Jin (Uchino Masaki), who acknowledges both her talent and commitment, and agrees to coach the school's tennis team.
