Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

There is one short scene where a women has lingerie on. There is a short scene where a man is standing in the shower.

Violence & Gore

A subway train jumps the tracks, it barrels toward a crowded subway station, it is struck by another train, people scream and are crushed, (blood splatters on window); we hear several people slamming against the train's windshield, and others are run over (they disappear under the train) and we see many injured people with blood on their heads and faces later.

A passenger plane crashes through power lines and across a highway filled with stopped cars, flames shoot out of the wreckage, there are explosions and we see several people running out of the wreckage in flames and screaming.

A huge wall of flames blows across the ocean and through a city causing total devastation (we see buildings crumble, cars are thrown, people disappear and water evaporates).

A car is struck in the side by a truck, the car is crumpled and flips on its side, and we see the driver motionless and with a bloody head wound; we later see the driver in an ambulance receiving treatment and we see a flat line on the heart monitor.

Profanity

There are roughly 3 uses of "sh-t", and a couple of minor curse words like "hell", "ass", and "damn". Nothing too major. There are no F-words and no b-word. No strong language.

Half of the movie is John (Cage) drinking heavily with whiskey/bourbon.

There are some frightening scenes in the movie like some ghost-looking people follow the protagonists. Also scenes with sudden loud voices to intentionally frighten.

There is an airplane disaster, which is extremely intense and is easily one of the most frightening scenes in the movie. It happens very close to the camera so you feel like you are part of the distress. There are people on fire everywhere, screaming in pain. Several people get caught in an explosion. Very intense and very disturbing/frightening.

Two subway trains collide. Many people are crushed on one subway, and many others on the ground are hit and ran over by a subway. There are several spots where you can see the blood spurt from people when they are hit. Rather frightening, but not as bad as the airplane.

At the beginning of the movie there is a little girl who is hearing voices. Some may find this a bit frightening. A couple minutes later someone finds her in a closet scratching her nails on the door. Her nails are bleeding and she is crying. Some may find it frightening.

Several ghost like people stand outside a house. You only see their backs, and it is rather scary. A ghost like man gets inside a boy's room. Because of the darkness, his face is distorted, and it is rather creepy to see. The man then points to a window. The boy goes to the window, and sees a forest on fire. Several animals are seen dying in pain and agony. It is a very scary part of the movie. Several ghost like men steal two children. A mother pursues them, but is smashed in the side by a semi-truck. You see some blood on the winshield as you see her die.

Two children are taken to a cabin in the forest by several ghost like men. Several ghost like men approach a parked truck which has two children in it. Voices are heard, and you can only partly see the men's faces, which look very creepy.

A huge wall of flames blows across the ocean and through a city causing total devastation (we see buildings crumble, cars are thrown, people disappear and water evaporates).
