A remarkably sexy and disturbing short film!
jendupre4 May 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Clever cinematography and an engaging storyline are some of the high points in this tensely watchable film. Mix in a healthy dose of humor, readily believable characters, and it's easy to see why this picked up the best genre film award at the LA festival. Casting highlights include Donna Casey as the lead Frankie Unger, and DJ Holte as the hilarious exterminator Terry "Taps". Adrian Carr's direction is deft and includes some subtle homage to the great genre directors. There are moments where you will be talking back to the screen, (in fine horror movie fashion), laughing and cringing at the same time. The hauntingly sexual artwork by Drew Struzan (who cameos in the short) lends depth to the Frankie's inner psyche. There is some female nudity, language, sexual situations, brief drug use and violence so I would venture that it would be rated R. Definitely worth watching more than once!

Suspense ridden drama with many twists and turns.

Adrian Carr can best be described as cinematic genius.

I was fortunate enough to meet the Director at a screening of this film.

To view the work of such a talented and humble man can only be considered a joy.

Cinematically enticing, "Blood Makes Noise" take you on a suspenseful journey, with twists and turns.

Just when you think you know what happened, you realize you don't.

Mr.Carr's directing style is reminiscent of the old great Hollywood Directors.

Beautiful to watch, and characters that you can not only relate to, but believe are real.

This film is like a ride. Once on, you don't want to leave until you experience it all.

Very impressive is the character of insect/bug exterminator "Terrence Alyoisious Parks" (TAPS) played by actor "D J Holte" The energy he brought to the role, and the ability to bring understated humor to his character, whilst making his character unaware that he was so funny, was hilarious. He had me laughing out loud, and even whilst I tried to control my laughter, I found that I could not. Keep an eye out for him in the future.

The lead character of Frankie Unger is played by actress "Donna Casey" who does a wonderful job in this suspense ridden drama. Also worthy of mention is the character of studio driver, "Sean" played by the very talented actor, "Bryan Frank"

This film won a best genre film award for suspense in Los Angeles.
