"Just a 9"? To quote an Eastwood character, "I'll give her a two, but that's only because I've never seen a one." I happened to hit the recall button after another show and the "Endless Void" episode popped up at a point where I thought, "great, more Pokemon-quality garbage" and the perfect moment of a transition to curiosity based upon an image and I took my finger off of the remote.
I lost nearly all of my Japanese and essentially any Chinese I had via a concussion in a car accident eleven years ago (she ran a red light at double the speed limit) as I'm not a native speaker of either language. Now, I long for Nihongo (Japanese) to have the opportunity to enjoy this in its original form.
An accidental viewing and I stayed for the followup "Sorrowful Betrayal", which aired immediately after.
Very, very well done.
Oh, I'm not "into" anime. That should say even more for staying to watch both episodes.
