It’s Opening Day for Major League Baseball, but the NFL grabbed a headline of its own today. The league’s NFL Media and NFL Films has agreed with HBO Sports on a four-year extension for the premium cabler to continue running Hard Knocks, the popular training-camp docuseries that launched in 2001 and has aired annually since 2007. ‘Shark Tank,’ ‘Hard Knocks,’ ‘The Voice’ Win Reality Breakthrough Awards

Miami — ABC’s “Shark Tank,” NBC’s “The Voice” and HBO’s “Hard Knocks” earned the top series prizes at the third annual Reality Breakthrough Awards.

The kudos were handed out Tuesday at a luncheon ceremony held as part of the Natpe conference in Miami. “Fuller House” star Bob Saget hosted at the Fontainebleau Hotel.

True to form, Saget left the off-color jokes fly. He likened the titles of the shows nominated in the unstructured reality category to his first marriage, noting that the relationship started began as “Deadliest Catch” and wound up leaving him “Naked and Afraid.”

The Voice” earned the award for reality-competition series and “Voice” veteran Blake Shelton won for reality personality. “Voice” producer Mark Burnett also grabbed the win in the structured reality series category for ABC’s “Shark Tank.”

Game of Thrones,” “Westworld” and “Stranger Things” all scored Best Episodic Drama nominations from the Producers Guild of America this morning, with “Atlanta” and “Silicon Valley” doing likewise in the Best Episodic Comedy category. Film categories, meanwhile, will be announced next Tuesday. This year’s ceremony, the 28th overall, will take place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 28. Full list of nominees below.

Producers Guild TV Awards: ‘Westworld,’ ‘Stranger Things,’ ‘Atlanta’ Grab Nominations

HBO’s “Westworld,” Netflix’s “Stranger Things” and FX’s “Atlanta” are among the new series grabbing nominations for the 28th annual Producers Guild Awards.

Westworld” and “Stranger Things” both broke into the drama series race. The two will contend for the prize at the Jan. 28 ceremony against HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” the reigning Emmy winner for drama series and the PGA’s 2016 pick, AMC’s “Better Call Saul” and Netflix’s “House of Cards.”

Atlanta” was the sole newbie in the comedy series heat. Donald Glover’s auteur comedy will face off against HBO’s “Silicon Valley” and “Veep” (which has scored back-to-back Emmy wins the past two years) and ABC’s “Black-ish” and “Modern Family.” Amazon’s “Transparent” took the comedy prize last year.
