This film was part of many film festivals that I had the pleasure of attending throughout NYC during 2004-2005. Having seen it on numerous occasions, I can undoubtedly rate it as one of the best short films I've seen yet! Based on director, Jaydee Rose's personal dating experiences, it chronicles the life of Jess, a smart and successful woman just looking for love...in all the wrong places. Both thought-provoking and funny, it's an honest comment on the romantic challenges of an independent woman of our time. Each time I saw it, it left me with a different understanding of what gender and power mean in our society. Moreover, how deeply it affects one's romantic pursuits. I believe "Closure" is the real woman's "Sex And the City". Jaydee's direction is clean with a personal yet objective perspective, the sound design keen and playful, and the work of Carolyn Smith has a deep, soulful, every-woman quality with a refined comic flair. A regal quality not often seen on film, she's an upcoming talent of a new breed. "Closure" is a 'must-see'! Catch it while you can...
