Real Brother here.
The Urban Demographic is a well done feature film that actually gives Hip Hop music the people who make it credit for having some sense. The story centers on this one Sista' who is trying to follow her dream, not to be a Rapper vs. a cold blooded killing and criminal like all the corny movies like that but to go from being a menial office worker (a receptionist at a Jazz Label) to a on-air personality on the radio.
Its a rags to riches story but it also focuses on the dynamic between a Sista' on the rise and her inter action with the Brother in her life who may not be on a track as fast as hers. This is a story that has never been explored in film which is what makes it interesting.
Its too bat the Producers and Distributors of the film were so short sighted that they didn't realize what they had and rushed it out on home-video instead of cutting the negative raising some promotion and marketing money and taking it to the festivals so that the film could get a theatrical release.
Its a movie that all demographics can enjoy.
No Sellout. TKCAL
