Parents Guide for
Breaking and Entering (2006) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Nudity and sex scenes. Will Francis (Jude Law) lives together with wife Liv (Robin Wright Penn) and daughter. Will however has an illicit affair with Amira (Juliet Binoche) with whom Will had sexual scenes with, including an episode where Amira took pictures of both of them naked while he is asleep. Amira's breast is briefly visible in one scene.

There is also a prostitute who became constant companion of Will while waiting to catch the thief outside his office. The prostitute frequently suggests sex and speaks some profanities. Will did not, however, engage the service of the prostitute. (written by mrs.y.g). At one point the prostitute stands by the car with her left breast exposed.

Violence & Gore

Robbery. More than once in the movie, Miro uses his parkour talent to break into the office of Will and steal more than once.

War. Some scenes suggest violence in Sarajevo showing how Miro and his mother escaped the war. (mrs.y.g.)

Profanity

There are some profanities uttered by the character but mostly during intense scenes.

I can only think of the prostitute but there are scenes where some characters smoke.

Bea, daughter of Will and Liv, is an autistic child who has frequent bouts of tantrum shown throughout the movie. At one point during dinner time, she had another tantrum where, what Will describes as, she "smashed things (plate), scream and shout to get what she wants and ran another way."

Another scene that might be too frightening for kids is when Miro does his parkour talent jumping on tall heights from one building to another.
