Angst | Blu-ray Review

You’d be hard-pressed to find a film that can transcend the unpleasantness of Austrian filmmaker Gerald Kargl’s sole directorial feature, Angst. A title difficult to obtain copies of in the United States, it’s one of those titles passed around amongst aficionados who prefer their boundaries stretched or surpassed when it comes to taste, and the film feels like a progenitor of unsettling material like Man Bites Dog (1992) or Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986). And yet Kargl’s unsung masterpiece of distress usurps the discomfort engendered in those later titles thanks to ambient score and spectacular camerawork. Touted as a film influencing the likes of Gaspar Noe, on record as proclaiming the title to be ‘the rarest masterpiece of cinema,’ widespread availability should mark this as a film worthy of reconsideration and a much wider cult following.

The Office 11 years on: What Ricky Gervais, Martin Freeman and co did next

So as we anticipate what Brent has been up to since the end of the BBC hit comedy, here's what the cast have done since:

Ricky Gervais

Ricky Gervais played the lead role as David Brent - the embarrassing, toe-curling and cringeworthy boss of company Wernham Hogg, devoid of self-awareness but poised with an unwavering love for the paper merchants he manages.

The Following season 2 episode 3 review: Trust Me

Review Ron Hogan 5 Feb 2014 - 07:30

The Following's second season boldly combines extreme violence with black comedy, but will audiences get the joke?

This review contains spoilers.

The other thing the FBI does well is harass Ryan Hardy. Sure he's conducting his own vigilante investigation of Joe's remaining Carrollers and is generally being uncooperative in his dealings with the FBI - for the most part - that doesn't mean... oh wait,
