This is one terrific little film--one of the best modern shorts I've ever seen!! You MUST see it and it is available to watch online at Atom Films.

This Norwegian gem is a very strange comedy that is also quite Surreal! The movie begins with a guy asleep in bed as you hear two announcers talking as if it's a big game about to start. Then, when his alarm rings, the camera pans back and see that these two color commentators are actually in the guy's bedroom--inside a little booth like the ones you'd see at a football (soccer) match!! As the poor guy is lying there, the two color men just talk and talk as if they are broadcasting the game of the week---complete with instant replays, crowd noise and all the excitement! While this may sound very dull and mundane, don't believe it. This is exceptionally well conceived, exciting and clever. It's just too bad this isn't seen widely, as it's just wonderful and I can't say enough good about it or the folks that made it. A definite must-see for fans of short films!!! See this film--NOW!

The following may contain ***SPOILERS.*** I watched this short the other night on Australia's SBS "shorts on screen" and was very pleasantly surprised (being only newly a watcher of short film... and I must say that this one has encouraged me to give more of them a chance). The wonderful universal humour in this film came from the familiarity both of the experience of the effort it can sometimes take to get out of bed and out of the house in time in the mornings melded beautifully with the familiar format of sports commentary and spectatorship. The craftsmanship from concept to delivery was, I thought, superb. I laughed out loud more times within this 10 minute short than I have in any full length movie I have viewed for quite some time.
