Storyline
The Doodlebops is a musical comedy series for children starring Deedee, Rooney and Moe Doodle. They are the ultimate rock and roll band - at least as far as preschoolers are concerned - and they hang out and practice their song and dance routines in the coolest rehearsal space imaginable. Sort of a cross between PeeWee's Playhouse and The Monkees, the show focuses on music, dance, comedy and pro-social educational issues such as sharing and perspective taking. Written by

The Worlds Favorite Rock Band Finally has its Own TV Show!
I have a son that's almost three, and he loves anything that has singing in it. The difference between most kids shows and The Doodlebops is that these folks can actually carry a tune! This, of course, isn't the only plus for the show. The characters of DeeDee, Rooney, and Moe are very easy for preschoolers to relate to. They play, laugh, and have fun...but they argue occasionally, too. They always manage to make up, though...teaching kids that it's OK to disagree or even "fight" with your friends as long as you know when to apologize. The Doodlebops are bright and colorful, and the show is fast-paced. I definitely recommend this for anyone that has kids in the 3-7 range. Four stars!
