60's Anti-Hippie Propaganda

Warning: Spoilers
The Hippie Temptation attempts to portray itself as a journalistic style documentary with interviews of victims of the Hippie movement. So called medical professionals give their opinion on the LSD effect and the counter culture of the times. Each so called doctor wears a white shirt or jacket and looks to appear to be in laboratory of medical facility to add to the fact that they are medical professionals. They continue to give their opinion rather than state facts. The goal of this bias documentary is to showcase a negative version of what they define as a Hippie and what their ideology stands for. The documentary does this by interviewing angry parents of these Hippies and showing their children to be nothing less than homeless drifters and beggars that accept free food and medical attention. The Narrator quotes Timothy Leary and shows a member of the Hell's Angel to further associate drugs and lawlessness to the Hippies. The addition of the Grateful Dead is the only positive moment in the documentary. The interview of the band and the live performance at the end of the movie is worth the watch. An interesting connection to the Hippie Temptation and the Hippie Revolution (1968) documentary is actress Today Malone. She appears in both documentaries which makes you question what is authentic and what is staged.

a dead serious...
ops-5253529 March 2021
Television documentary on the hippie movement in the startpit, with heavy issues with its drug use and '' loose'' lifestyle, especially the use of lsd. Its made in a then serious voice of concern, with the meanings of the vice men of the era, doctors and proffesors of medicine and soforth.

Its fun to ook back on how its made, the grave tone of the tv presenter/commentator, and the zoologic angling of the hippie race. Its'' they are'' '' they use'' etc like an attenborough wildlife documentary of today. Its a comedy to view in 2021, therefore have a look, its interesting media material thinks the grumpy old man.
