The first and last Alied soldiers to die in WW1
de7in1 July 2006
A very interesting documentary about the death and life of the first soldiers to die in WWI (Pt. John Parr, British), and the last (Pt. George Price, Canadian). It discusses the hows of their demise, stories of their training and the people whose lives are still affected by their loss to this day. A must for History buffs.

John Parr, a former caddy, was a bicycle scout for the British army, whose death went undiscovered for several days until his body was discovered. George Price was in the infantry, and was shot down just as the bells signaling Armistace were being wrung.

Both men have very interesting stories to tell, from their reasons of being in the army, to what was going on in the world at the moment of their deaths.
