Disturbing

Having some free time on my hands I decided to watch some short films on Atomfilms. "El Ciclo" (or "The Cycle") makes Victor Garcia one to watch. The movie is not much to write home about plot-wise, but it more than makes up for it with disturbing imagery and a sense of dread throughout. Jacob Torres is very suitable for this tale of a guy trapped in a deep dark dank basement with a secret to hide. The short is claustrophobic and has an air of sadness to it. I'm on a role with 3 great shorts, now having said that watch the next one I see and review likely be awful. But such is life. Anyway back to the short at hand. Kudos to you, Victor and I hope your upcoming "Smoke" movie can fulfill on this shorts major promise.
