Monday night's episode of Dancing With The Stars gave us a number of things to get very excited about.

New York -- A representative for Charlie Daniels says the 76-year-old country singer is recovering after having a pacemaker implanted Thursday.
Daniels was diagnosed Monday with "a mild case of pneumonia." Tests at a Nashville, Tenn.-area hospital revealed that he needed a pacemaker to regulate his heart rate. He's scheduled to be released Friday.
Daniels said in a statement that he's feeling better and looking forward to spending Easter with his family.
His Saturday and Sunday performances at Middle Tennessee State University have been canceled. Concerts with his band on April 5 in Englewood, N.J., and April 6 in Newark, Ohio, have been canceled and will be rescheduled. His tour will resume April 11 in Lynchburg, Va.
Daniels has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry for five years. His hits include "The Devil Went Down to Georgia."

"The Devil Went Down to Georgia" singer, 76, is recovering in a Nashville, Tenn., hospital after pacemaker implant surgery, according to a statement released on Thursday. Daniels was diagnosed with a mild case of pneumonia on Monday, and after a series of tests, it was determined he needed a pacemaker to regulate his heart rate. "I just had not been feeling well and wanted to get checked out," says the Grand Ole Opry star. "I am thankful the doctors found the problem and were able to implant a pacemaker to get my heart rate regulated.

Mike Johnson has signed on to direct the CG/Stop-Motion hybrid feature film Oz Wars. The Academy Award and Annie Award-nominee got his start as the Assistant Animation Rigger and Assistant Animator on The Nightmare Before Christmas. He was an animator on James and The Giant Peach, directed three episodes of the lat 1990's Fox clay animated television series The PJs, and was co-director of the 2005 film Corpse Bride. So basically, he has a long history with stop motion animation. Written by Rob Moreland (Space Chimps 1 & 2) and Athena Gam (Alien Rock Band), Oz Wars attempts to transform the Wizard of Oz narrative into "a contemporary, freaky action-packed PG-13 audience pleaser, with Dorothy caught up in a whirlwind of warrior witches, black magic, martial arts and monsters." There are a few different Wizard of Oz inspired films currently in development right now in Hollywood including Sam Raimi's The Great And Powerful Oz for Disney. Josh Olson (A History of Violence) is developing a sequel to Oz, which focuses on Dorothy's granddaughter who returns to Oz to fight evil. The other film is simply called Oz, which is set up over at Warner's New Line, and is being produced by Twilight's Temple Hill. Then there is John Boorman who is developing a CGI version of the story based on the original novel by Franck L. Baum.
