Trivia

The series was originally meant to act as a sequel to Transformers: Energon (2004), but during production, was rewritten to be a completely unrelated story. Later on, the American edit of the series reinstalled its sequel status, although this had caused several continuity errors. After many years, Takara (the owner of the Transformers brand in Japan) followed suit and now they also consider the series to be a sequel to Super Link, disregarding the continuity issues. Goofs

Although the Mini-Cons of the planet Gigalonia (Gigantion in the English dub) are normal, about human-sized robots, they suddenly become gigantic when they combine with their giant Transformer partners. This is because their animation models have been based directly on their toys, however when separated, their partners are shown to be gigantic, whereas the Mini-Cons themselves are of the same size as any other Mini-Con. Quotes

Overide: [after the race between herself and Megatron is finished] Let's see who won.
[the camera over the finish line reveals that Override has won by a nose]
Overide: I won! As for that cyber planet key thing I don't know what you're talking about. I just wanted someone to race.
Megatron: I can tell you all about it.

Follow-up to Energon, could be considered spoilers.

Transformers Galaxy Force, or Cybertron in the U.S., supposedly takes place after Energon. No-one is positive on this, but all the characters from Armada and Energon return in this series. Basically, after destroying Unicron in Energon, there is a tremendous black hole left. This black hole is starting to suck the Transformer's home planet of Cybertron into it. Unable to stop this, the Autobots decide to flee to Earth. All of a sudden a wormhole opens and Vector Prime, one of the very first Transformers, appears from the past. He informs the Autobots of the 4 Cyber Planet Keys spread over 4 planets. These keys can save Cybertron. Megatron sees what is happening and he and Starscream attack. Vector Prime, who, due to being from the past, is unaware that the Autobots and Decepticons are no-longer living in peace, hands over the key map to Megatron. Who, with the keys, can shape the universe to his own desire. Now Vector Prime and the Autobots must recruit other Transformers before Megatron can so they can get the keys and save Cybertron.
