Saboteur combines platform, beat 'em up and adventure elements, your character is a lone samurai trying to infiltrate an enemy industrial complex. You are capable of all manner of ninja-style moves including kicks and punches, as well as using weaponry. You must travel through an underground system of tunnels linked mainly by platforms, ladders and subway trams before triggering a bomb and escaping. Your energy recharges if you stay still, so finding areas free of guards and dogs is useful, especially as you only have one life. There's plenty of object manipulation involved, although only one item can ever be carried at a time. Written by Shawn Watson

Saboteur the films is coming!
22 November 2009 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

Liberty Films are currently putting together a treatment for a feature film based on this game alongside Clive Townsend the original creator. In terms of the game... well... For its year of production, Saboteur and Sab II were well ahead of their time in terms of gaming advances. The Saboteur game series played its part in opening the door to the next generation of action and adventure video games and the development of consoles and console controllers due to the requirement of the controls of a complex character in a complex game environment. Saboteur II was a female ninja character called Nina. Would we have seen Lara Croft Tomb Raider without Nina leading the way? A fantastic game that you can play by going to: simply click on the game screen on the left and enjoy!
