I was lucky enough to attend the Premiere in the Glasgow Armadillo. When Jinky walked in, the audience rose as one and sang out the wee man's name over and over again, I don't know about Jinky but it brought a tear to my eyes. A legend, he will never be forgotten by the Celtic Family.
A great film too of course, really an update on the earlier club video 'Jinky' with a lot of the same football footage but slightly longer and dealing more with the man's personal issues whereas the first film was purely his footballing genius. The quality of the direction / editing marks this version out as a far superior product. This is not your usual footballer biog and it does not shirk from the lows of his life but in the end Jinky is at peace with himself and shows remarkable strength of character in the face of his tragic illness. God bless you Jinky.
