Kirsty Gallacher on Strictly Come Dancing: 'Brendan needs to shout at me more'

Kirsty Gallacher has spoken after surviving her Strictly Come Dancing dance-off against Daniel O'Donnell, saying that Brendan Cole 'needs to shout at her more' if she is to progress.

Speaking on Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two, the presenter said that her dancing partner needs to be stronger with her to help them both do well on the show.

Gallacher said: "I think he's [Brendan] going to have to be much stronger with me. He's lovely and he's so kind, but I think he's going to have to shout at me a little bit.

"I don't want to go home yet. I was so grateful to the judges and their comments were lovely… I actually really loved the dance-off. I need to do that in the first dance. I need to attack it more."

Strictly Come Dancing star Jay McGuiness has cut off his hair in the name of charity.

The Wanted singer had his luscious locks clipped and donated the trimmings to an organisation that makes wigs.

Speaking on Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two last night (October 7), McGuiness said that while he planned to wait until later in the year, he brought the hair cut forward to help him perform the waltz last weekend.

"It's definitely helped with speed," he said on the show. "I was always going to cut it at the end of this year, and donate it to a charity that makes wigs for people.

Chris Evans denies reports that Zoe Ball has had a Top Gear screen test

Chris Evans has denied reports that Zoe Ball has screen tested for the new series of Top Gear.

The Sunday Mirror claimed that the Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two presenter impressed producers during a try-out opposite the new host, and was now seen as a frontrunner for the job.

However, Evans wrote on Twitter: "Hilariously inaccurate story in 2days paper. Re my good friend Zoe Ball excelling in Top Gear screen test. She hasn't even been for one."

Ball and Evans have known each other for a long time, having both separately appeared on Channel 4's The Big Breakfast and with Ball acting as Evans's relief presenter on his Radio 2 breakfast show.

Evans initially said that he would "definitely 100%" have a female co-host, after it was announced that he would take over the show following the departure of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.

Simon Webbe and Scott Mills have joined the 'Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour 2015'.

The pair will appear with their dancing partners Kristina Rihanoff and Joanne Clifton.

They join the likes of Caroline Flack, Mark Wright, Alison Hammond, Frankie Bridge and Thom Evans.

They will embark on an extensive run of live dates in January and February.

New additions to the live tour judging panel have also been announced. 2008 series winners Tom Chambers and Camilla Dallerup will join Craig Revel Horwood for the tour.

Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two presenter Zoe Ball will host.

The 31-date arena tour will kick off at Birmingham's Barclaycard Arena on January 16.

Sunetra Sarker and her professional partner Brendan Cole were the ninth couple to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing on Sunday (November 30).

Caroline Flack, Mark Wright and Alison Hammond have joined the 'Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour 2015'.

The trio will embark on an extensive run of live dates in January and February, alongside fellow stars Frankie Bridge and Thom Evans.

It has already been confirmed that Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two presenter Zoe Ball will present the tour.

Speaking about the tour, Hammond said: "After the wonderful, warm reception I received from taking part in BBC's Strictly, I'm thrilled to be part of the 'Live Tour'.

"It's going to be great fun to strut my stuff all across the country, but I am particularly excited that we will be opening the tour in Birmingham. I am counting on a great home crowd to get us off to a sparkling start!"

Frankie Bridge and Thom Evans are the first celebrities confirmed for the 'Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour 2015'.

The Saturdays singer and the former international rugby player will embark on the extensive run of live dates in January.

ITV charity fundraiser Text Santa leads Friday night ratings

ITV charity fundraiser Text Santa dominated Friday's (December 20) ratings outside of soaps, beating BBC One's comedy output over the course of the three-hour show.

The programme, which raised a total of £4.2m for six UK charities, featured ITV soap stars, singer Robbie Williams, prime minister David Cameron and This Morning hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

Kicking off at 8pm, the show averaged 4.68m viewers, earning a 23.5% audience share.

BBC One's flagship panel show Have I Got News For You dropped to 3.71m (17.5%) at 9pm, after leading last week with 4.68m viewers. Live At The Apollo, featuring Adam Hills, Andi Osho and Terry Alderton, attracted 2.45m (11.9%) at 9.30pm.

The channel regained the lead with The Graham Norton Show at 10.45pm. Featuring guests Julie Walters, Len Goodman, Miranda Hart and Tinie Tempah, it drew an audience of 3.31m (21.8%).

Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two performed well ahead of this weekend's final.

'Have I Got News For You' leads Friday night ratings with 4.67m

Have I Got News For You led Friday night's primetime ratings outside of soaps, drawing in 4.67m viewers.

The BBC One panel show, featuring Stephen Merchant at the helm and guest panellists Hal Cruttenden and Gabby Logan with Paul Merton and Ian Hislop, took 21.9% of the audience share at 9pm. Citizen Khan, which followed at 9.30pm, matched its previous week's audience with 2.66m (13%).

Piers Morgan's Life Stories with Julian Clary secured 3.7m (17.7%) in the same 9pm timeslot for ITV (+1: 281k).

Meanwhile, The Graham Norton Show - featuring special guests including Katy Perry and Paul McCartney - aired to 3.39m at 10.45pm.

Channel 4's 8 Out of 10 Cats attracted 1.19m viewers (5.6%), with an additional 167,600 tuning in on Channel 4 +1. At 8pm, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pulled in 1.37m (6.2%), with 298,600 (1.4%) watching an hour later.
