As preparation for this film the director Eduardo Ortiz himself embarked in a journey of investigation having the opportunity of learning about the deep impact the vampirism has over a certain group in Puerto Rican society. for this endeavor the director had the help of many member of the local gothic community. This group not only help him as consultants in the subject of vampirism but also where part of the cast.
The cast of "Vampiros" consisted of some of the top pop culture personalities of its moment including Model and actor Eli Cay, model and host Brenda Robles, Actor ventriloquist and director Israel Lugo, musician Rolando D'Lugo and top tier comedian Johnny Ray.
