Reggie Jackson was born in 1946. For he and Mel to have been tuba camp together, it would have to have happened in the early 1960's. The photo depicts hairstyles and clothing more suited for the 1970's. Also, this would make Mel a person who should be in his late 50's or just turning 60. His character is far young then that in the film.
Near the end of the film when the Ms. Pac Man game is shown, the sound of the Ms. Pac Man machine is incorrect. The sounds it is making are from a Pac Man game. This is especially noticeable during Ms. Pac Man's demise.
In the first tournament game, when Gus is saying he needs to
get the other guys involved more, the black kid who almost gets the grand slam at the end of the game is up. When Gus turns around to pitch, the boy has changed to a different boy.
Right before they notice K.I.T.T., in the background there's a brunette lady wearing a pink top and white bottoms. She had already walked out of the pizza place. Then, you see her walk out of the pizza place again even though she was already outside moments before
After beating the kids on the field, the team goes back to Richie's place. When Gus says, "In the meantime, you know the best part about winning a baseball game?" Richie sets down his can. In the next shot, the can is back in his other hand.
When the Benchwarmers are looking at K.I.T.T., Clark is standing looking at the car. In the next shot (the camera looking in through the window of the car.) Jon Heder's hands are clearly seen on the edge of the open window and in the next shot he's standing there like he was before.
At the beginning of the movie, the establishing shot shows the 3 kids playing baseball on the field and then moves in on Gus' truck pulling up to a house, where we see a lady pushing a stroller past the truck. The next shot is a medium shot of Gus getting things out of the back of his truck, and cuts to the kids playing as he looks at them. When it cuts back to the medium shot of Gus by his truck you can see the same lady walk past the truck again.
When Gus hits a home run, the ball goes flying and hits the man with Brad in the swimming pool. His nachos go flying and the tray lands between his legs. In the next frame he picks up the tray from his left side.
In the game against Waynes Hardware, they send Howie to hit the ball. The girl gives him a bat and he holds it upside down. The camera then changes to Carlos' drunk point of view, and we see Howie holding the bat up on his shoulder. In the next frame, he was holding the bat in front of him pointing it down and swinging it around.
When Clark, Gus and Ritchie are in Mel's house for the first time and they sit down to have sandwiches, notice how only Mel, Clark and Ritchie order sandwiches, yet soon after (when Mel says 'Gentlemen, it is time we brought this cause into the public eye') it appears that Gus has a sandwich in front of him that he hadn't actually ordered. Not much later in that scene, one of the shots shows the table in front of Gus and the sandwich isn't there again. When they all get up to look at the 'prize', you can see clearly that the sandwich is there again.
When Gus, Richie and Clark are at Mel's house, Clark says "But, why would any of these teams agree to play us?". Right after he says this, in the bottom right of the screen you can see Gus picking up 1 of 3 juice boxes. These were not there in the previous shot and they disappear in the next shot.
After being hit with the hot Potato, Number seven accidentally runs over the dog, shaving one side of the dog. Before the camera pans to the wide shot, the front wheels of number 7 are touching the dog. However, once the camera pans to the wide shot, number 7's wheels are further away from the dog then they had been in the previous shot.
During the championship game, The Benchwarmers are losing 9-0 in the first inning. On the scoreboard it says they have 9 errors which is probably true, but later in the game when the scoreboard is shown they have zero errors.
Nelson is standing next to Mel when Clark, Gus, and Richie first go to his house. After the "something" is cleaned off his face, there is a shot of Mel with his hands on the table, then an over-the-shoulder shot of Nelson, where you see Mel's hand around Nelson's shoulders, then it cuts back to Mel's hands in front of him again. There is not enough time for him to move that quickly.
When Jerry is introducing Carlos, in a certain shot the arm he is holding the beer bottle in is relaxed and at his side; in the next shot, he is holding up the bottle (just about) parallel to his chest.
In the part where Gus, Richie, and Clark are in Schmeglers house they run to their seats. When Richie and Clark go to their seats they pick the second and third chair from the end and when they sit down you can see a hand pull the first chair away. In the next scene the first chair is missing.
Mel says the ballpark builders have 24 hours to build the ballpark. This is impossible because it would take over 24 hours to lay the cement and let it dry, let alone build the rest of the park including the pool and slide, which would take several days to finish by itself.
In their very first game, Gus says that the score is 17 to
nothing. This should not be possible. Richie and Clark are first to bat, and each get 1 out. Then Gus is up and scores a run. Richie or Clark have to be up to bat after Gus, so they would score the third out, therefore causing the end of the inning. In innings 3, 5, 7, & 9 Gus would get two at bats. Assuming the game is 9 innings and the Benchwarmers are the visiting team and assuming neither Richie nor Clark reach base the most runs they could score would be 13.
After the opposing team in the finals of the tournament let Nelson get a hit, when rounding third base, he does not touch it on his way to home plate. Because of this, the home run should not have counted. However, in order for the base runner to be called out, the opposing team must challenge the play. The proper procedure would be before throwing the next pitch, throw the ball to the base that was missed. Then announcing to the umpire that the base runner failed to touch the base. If this is not done before the next pitch then the base runner is safe.
As Howie races back into the house after retrieving the cookies, he runs in his closet and pulls the cord on his door to close it. For a split second, you can see the string snap off the door and the door does not get closed all the way.
When Clark swings and loses the bat. When the bat hits the windshield on the car, you can see the bat bounce off the windshield. Then you see the handle of a bat slowly come from the inside of the car.
