Every year at San Diego Comic-Con, Robot Chicken co-creator Matt Senreich and The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman have an "annual dinner." At this particular dinner — after discussing Robot Chicken's upcoming DC special — Kirkman expressed how his show felt left out of the Robot Chicken parody touch. Senreich said it "spiraled" from that.

According to the creators of Robot Chicken, The Walking Dead is the perfect jumping off point for parody. "The cool thing about [The Walking Dead] is that is takes the Walkers so seriously," explains Robot Chicken director Tom Sheppard. »

Substitute Teaching Takes a Terrifying Turn in the Horror Comedy Short Film The Sub

9 August 2017 9:30 AM, PDT | DailyDead | See recent DailyDead news »

Substitute teaching can be scary on its own terms, but when the faculty and student body are susceptible to Lovecraftian horrors that threaten the Earth's very existence, it can be downright horrifying. That doesn't mean it's without humor, though, as evidenced by Dan Samiljan's new short film The Sub, which you can watch in its entirety right here on Daily Dead.

"Recently completing its festival circuit, The Sub was an official selection of the Nashville Film Fest, the Independent Film Fest of Boston and Scotland’s Dead by Dawn International Horror Film Fest.

Watch: Amusing Chicken or Egg Claymation Short Film 'Time Chicken'

19 April 2017 5:20 PM, PDT | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

"In the beginning there was faith that the egg was the start of all life. Then came reason that the egg must have come from a great chicken." So what came first: the chicken or the egg? The eternal, unanswerable question finally gets addressed in this amusing, wacky short film titled Time Chicken. This claymation short was written, directed and animated by Nick Black, who made it over two years using Canon DSLRs and handmade sets from various objects he found. It's a totally wacky but incredibly enjoyable short film, that does have touches of "Robot Chicken", but still feels like something original. You just need to watch and enjoy because while it might seem odd, it's so much fun and will make you laugh. Plus it's under 6 minutes. Thank you to Ben Aston for the tip on this short.
