Odd Name - Great TidBits, 13 May 2005
10/10
Author: Ravie13 from United States

"Moments of Discovery" sounds like a title for a science program but the name is explained within the first few minutes as a reference to the "moments" when little discoveries about characters, time periods and emotions were "discovered" in the writing and filming process.

The documentary itself is a moment of discovery for any fan of Fried Green Tomatoes because it reveals some little hidden moments from the filming that bring a smile to your face (but were distinctly NOT FUNNY for the actors at the time). Moments like the "leeches," the "air conditioning hose" and more.

The doc also reveals the relationships and strong bonds that our favorite characters actually did form while on set and contains some of the last interviews with Jessica Tandy (which are gems themselves).

The featurette also ends with some great "blooper reel" material that we would have LOVED to see more of on the DVD itself! All in all it is an excellent featurette for fans of the movie!
