Storyline

Late at night, on the streets of Mexico City, a young man hails a cab and directs the driver to 5th and Insurgentes. As the cabbie drives, the young man, Alejandro, pulls out a cell phone and calls 911, requesting an ambulance for 5th and Insurgentes where a cab driver lies with a squashed head. He then calls his grandmother and asks how to get blood out of his shirt. The cabbie keeps driving: toward his destiny or toward a great laugh?

Having some free time on my hands I decided to watch some short films on Atomfilms. "Head Breaker" is a 4 minute short about a cabbie picking up someone he shouldn't have. It's not a good short technical or story wise. The acting was alright I guess, even though there wasn't much of it. I was all set to give it a passing grade anyway, but I saw the director already had a full movie and another short under his belt so he should know better. I would suggest to him not to quit his day job, but it appears making films might just be his day job so Pineda DO quit your day job.
