Author: (robert_bell) from United Kingdom

This tosh has been sprawled across Friday Nights in Ulster Television region for too many years. You can be sure that whatever minor celeb is doing the UK local TV tour will turn up to plug their book or CD.

As an alternative to these muggers Gerry every so often does a 'That's Life' and interviews people with serious illnesses or who are campaigning against some terrorist group or other. A misconceived homage to RTE's Late Late Show which curiously is not in the least bit late - more's the pity. Squarely aimed at the over 60s, recalling a bygone era that never really was.

Viewer competitions are a special lowlight, 'amateurish' wouldn't begin to describe.

Some rare highlights included George Best on one of his better days. Gerry on the other hand never has those.

Simperingly worthy, cheese factor is off the scale, a waste of electricity
