Cool
15 July 2005 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This movie is really cool. I saw it recently and Mr. Curry showcases his comedic brilliance often and has some calmer sides as well. This movie gives a good glimpse into the life of a stand-up comedian. My only drawback is the "n-word" was used entirely too much, and the film also runs a bit long. The film does contain some shots of other comedians who are actually funny. You often feel like you're the audience IN the movie laughing at the comedians because they are so funny. The characters of Kenny Lang and Carolyn Black were well played. I've seen both actors in brief roles before, but their crafts have blossomed well. It's a cool piece of comedy to make you think, but more importantly laugh your behind off!
